ShootMania finishes in eSuba for good, interview with Krteqtaj

FPS games simply don’t have happy times in eSuba. The whole ShootMania section is leaving the club after more than two years and it also ends its overall action since all the players lost motivation to continue. The team was at the top in the Czech Republic and was fairly successful on the European field. It even got to the World Championship Electronic Sports World Cup in 2012 which took place in Paris. But because the community is practically nonexistent – mainly on the domestic field, then one has hardly any motivation for playing. And that was the main reason for this final decision. Anyway we want to thank our players a lot for their representation, gained success and wish them good luck in their life!

Interview with Jakub „Krteqtaj“ Hřebejk

ShootMania Hi Jakub, we haven’t heard much about you in the recent weeks. Why is that?
Hi Pospi. I wouldn’t say weeks, I’d say rather months. The cause of our inactivity was the game itself and the domestic community.

ShootMania What was or is going on with the domestic community? ShootMania looked like a successor of Quake Live and other FPS duel games at the beginning.
As you say, it looked very promising at first. There was enough players and interest. Regular CZ / SK tournaments were held and they were always full. Teams also took part in European tournaments where they could gather valuable experience. There was also one Czech and one European LAN event in District but after the gaming room closed the domestic ShootMania somehow disappeared.

ShootMania So do you know how many Czech players or teams are actively playing these days? Do you personally stop playing ShootMania too? Where are you going to shift your attention now?
I know a few people who are still playing but I dare not to guess an exact number. For me and as far as I know for all the boys who played in eSuba SM with me I can say that it is over. EATHER and I are currently in  eSubaWear where we are trying to produce stylish gaming shirts. We are also launching a project which I don’t want to uncover yet but I dare say that you will hear about us in the future.

ShootMania What exactly do you do in the eSubaWear eshop? I know you do not want to reveal much but you could at least tell us the outline.
We have our own “section” on eSubaWear which is named CZ&SK HERNÍ CELEBRITY (Czech and Slovak gaming celebrities) – here and there are T-shirts of famous eSuba players such as Miah and kRAVicka but also pure gaming shirts. The upcoming project will involve well-known Czech YouTubers and streamers. I am sorry but I cannot say more at the moment.

ShootMania What do you think is you biggest gaming success? If you could, would you change anything in your already finished career?
I think that the greatest success was probably the victory on the Hungarian ICL + in Call of Duty 4. For the team it was definitely the participation on ESWC 2012. It was and still is an incredible experience. I would definitely change something but who knows what would have happened then and if I was where I am now. So in the end I am satisfied.

ShootMania Thank you for the interview, the representation and I wish you the best of luck for the future. The conclusion is yours.
I thank you too for the interview but I want to thank mostly the management of eSuba that it gave us a chance. We hope we didn’t disappoint it. If anyone had any questions which I did not answered here, please write on my fanpage. See ya.
