This terran idol was officially accepted on the July 31 2011, he moved from The SCV Life team. He was the first Korean person ever to become part of an American organization. With this move, they started their very successful StarCraft II career. Within his two years long involvement he collected many impressive top three finishes. Among the greatest ones are without any doubt the first place in Intel Extreme Masters Cologone 2011, bronze medal from the same competition by ESL in Guangzhou the same year, and the silver medal in the world championship of sixth season. But this was his last individual success. Since that time, there was more or less nothing special, counting also this ProLeague season.
And this is why EG thought about change of plans. Once dominant Lee got stuck in bad shape and it wasn’t getting any better. He was offered to stay in the team but with lower wage and fewer chances to play in world tournaments. Both sides didn’t agree on this, so the inevitable happened and PuMa, one of the few terrans, left Evil Geniuses.
No one knows what will happen with him now. He might join some other team, if it provides adequate support, he might also join some Korean team, but it also might mean that this is the end of his professional career, because it would be really hard for him to find private sponsorship. What do you think about it?
