Interview with CRX: "I'm working hard to recover my skills"

I’ve got for you interview with new member of eSuba Call of Duty 4 squad. Former player of PGS or UF Gaming, Radosław „CRX“ Rowiński, answered for several questions. New sniper in our team talked about his history and his future with new team mates.

Hi Radosław , thank you to join us in our
little interview. Many people in czech don’t know you very well, so can you introduce
yourself a little bit?
Hello, My name is Radosław Rowiński and im 22. Actually i’m studing Law in Warsaw, capital of my lovely Poland. For past 2-3 months i’m doing some part-time jobs, nothing special.

In what game and when, did you start play as like progamer? It was CoD1 or 2
as most others players?
The first game I started to play seriously was Counter Strike. After the CoD1 premiere, my friend wanted to play some random matches with me and because I liked the game so much, I started to play it a lot. After a few months, we created a clan which was Top 3 in Poland. It was a long time ago. Of course I played CoD2 aswell and I was even better than in CoD1. My biggest EU LAN achievement was the 2nd place at the Sweden’s Wonderbase with my former team – UF Gaming. We have beaten H2k, Serious Gaming and just lost to team Fuukyu, which joined Fnatic after that tournament.

Where does your alias „CRX“ come
from?
At the beginning of my CS days i had nick: cr!x0n, and after i started playing CoD i chnaged it to cRx!, the whole story.

In which teams did you play and which was
the greatest or best for you?
I played in almost every top Polish team. As far as I remember those teames were Fear Factory, Elite Players, Ultra Frag (later known as UF Gaming), PGS and of course some other minor clans. In my opinion, the best team in which I was playing UF/UF Gaming. After we have won Wonderbase, we had full support from our multigaming. We had bootcamps before AEF LAN in Anwerp for like 8 days in Wzzrd Cafe in Enschede, where Crossfire Lans are hosted. For like a year and half year we dominated the Polish CoD4 scene, winning every major LAN (ESWC Razer Challenge, KODE5, HLC and PGA.

Your last team was PGS. Why did you leave and are you happy, than you can play with your former team mate deviance again?
Yeah, that’s right. I hadn’t been playing in PGS for too long, but I knew Deviance from before amd decided to join them. We were together at LAN in Croatia, and we came 3rd after an unlucky match in the semifinals. To be honest, I didnt left PGS, we had a pretty good lineup, but one of the players left, so I decided to stop playing. This changed after Deviance had asked me to join eSuba.
 

You didn’t play for a long time. How fast did you find gaming system of your new team? Are you still learning tactics?
The best thing is that I’m a sniper and my main task is to snipe down someone from time to time. I don’t have to stick with the tactics too much. The biggest issue right now is that I haven’t played for like a half of the year.

What’s your favorite map and why? And with which gun do you play mostly?
My favourite map is Crash and Citystreets. These two maps are in my opinion the best ones. Of course, I’m a sniper now, but for example in UF Gaming I have also been playing with other guns like AK or AKu. This was because of a roster change and we decided it would have been better.

What was your best moment or experience
with your gaming carier?
The best moment was the one at WonderBase. We (UF Gaming) were playing against Serious Gaming in the Winner’s Bracket. I was playing with scope for the whole CoD2 and in that game I had to deal with one of the best snipers on the CoD2 scene – solz. I scored about 40 frags and each round was only about who was going to kill first – I or Solz. After the game he had told me that I had been really good and it had been pretty awesome.

Sadly, I have never seen you in action. What is your game style?
I would love to play aggresively, but as for today I can’t do it
properly. Probably the best sniper-style was the one presented by Soclon
when he was playing for mYm. Especially during AEF he was playing
extremely good and bravely. Now, I’m working hard to recover my skills, I
hope I will have opportunity to answer to this question once more in
the future.

You joined our team few days ago. What
was the first clue for it? Who wrote you first, if you wanna play for eSuba.INTEL?
It was of course Deviance who asked me. He actually pasted a conversation with Hectic, where he was asking about me. Maybe he saw me idling eSuba TeamSpeak for a while, but I don’t really know what was the reason.

Did you know our players, and
your team mates at the moment, before?
Yeah, I knew Hectic. I know him since CoD times. Unfortunately, our first contact was conflict in the ClanBase, in which me and my accused him on using WallHack (rofl). Of course I also knew Misak and trume but only from previous games against them, and for me were just good players from Czech Republic.

What does be a part of eSuba mean for you?
It’s like another life and also a challenge for me. I hate to fail and I will do all I can, so you will be proud that I’m part of eSuba.

Do you know a czech gaming scene a little bit? Can you describe what is better or worse than polish scene?
I don’t think you can find a worse scene than polish one. Atleast it’s active one…

Do you know any others czech teams?
I remember that Necroraisers were a good Czech team, and now, of course, Power Gaming.

Who is the best player of CoD4 for
you?
I don’t think you can name a single, the best player. Luck is very important here and you can be the most LUCKY bastard, that’s all. However, there are and were extremely good and consistent players like Stevy, Soclon, Paradox or Qlimaxzu.

How many time takes playing cod4 in your life? Do you have others activities
or hobbies?
I didn’t play at all for the past half year. As for now, I try to spent majority of my free time playing it. My other hobby is basketball, an awesome game, which I used to play very actively in the past.
