Three players left this team in three weeks – that doesn’t sound promising when a key LAN event is coming. There was only one week left till Advik, when Johny left and Baxtrix joined the team. With this little time to practice the team coach Xnapy decided to do a boot camp in a game-room Rozkvet in Brno, so all the players can learn how to cooperate and team up and this proved to be the key step.
This is the team eSuba.INTEL sent: Herdyn, LouGi, Rikytan, Baxtrix and Demon to Advik 2013 – the international anime, manga, Japanese culture, sci-fi and fantasy festival in Prague which hosted the first offline ESL A-series event. eSuba won the basic group and were also the first to go to playoffs. Our players won 2:0 against Cracked Gamers and advanced to the semifinals with teams Emperor, Energie Shambally (with ex-eSuba players Ovdovovač and Johny) and of course Reason Gaming, who were favorites of this tournament.
The next day eSuba played against Emperor and won again 2:0 and met their great rival Reason Gaming in the finals. Their match was really nerve wracking – eSuba lost the first map 15:2 in thirty minutes which was quite demoralizing. But they managed to turn it all around – they won the next map and the third map as well and this time it was team eSuba who won 15:2. The forth and last map finished after Reason Gaming surrendered and eSuba players won 20.000 crowns and assured themselves a participation on ESL Pro Series. They also showed to all of those who doubted the new team, that they are ready to dominate again on the domestic field.
