The first to go was Matěj „Blackbirds“ Šimáček in the semi-finals of StarCraft II tournament. He met a difficult opponent – the defender of the title bluecheese. As much as he tried, Blackbirds was not able to outwit his opponent and so he quickly lost 0:3. For the Slovakian Terran was waiting Zerg TomikuS in the finals, who had managed to beat ReiToR in a nerve wracking finale 3:2. And mainly because of Zerg’s stereotypical strategy, bluecheese crushed him 3:0 and celebrated defending his title in the Asus National StarCraft League.

Blackbirds in the semi-finals against bluecheese
The next game of the tournament was Hearthstone and eSuba had two representatives there. While Mikuláš „Pokrovac“ Dio lost in the quarter finals against Namcor 2:3, Oldřich „Faeli“ Mahdal dealt with Meyger quickly 3:0 and headed to the semi-finals. There he met Scruffy who won the first game but lost the next three which meant that Faeli advanced to the finale. Here he met the surprise of the tournament. ecoo however failed to win even one game in the finale. Faeli therefore rejoiced in the triumph on DXRacer Invitational. An interesting thing of the tournament is the fact that the two greatest favourites, the former eSuba players and current players of the mYinsanity team, Alesh and Mirrari, finished right at the beginning of the tournament.

Faeli focuses on the semi-final duel with Scruffy
A large part of the fans looked forward mainly to the CS:GO tournament. It was scheduled already to Saturday. In the battle for third place, Monads droved over their competitors from Cyborg Factory quite quickly 2-0 and celebrated their bronze medal. The finale took place on Sunday afternoon. The eSuba.INTEL team came in a good mood after the golden success on LAN Quietus Day. Although the underestimated line-up lost against the favoured nEophyte team on Inferno, they destroyed the opponent with a rather big difference on Dust II. The winner was therefore to be decided on the Cache map, which eSuba dominated also thanks to their excellent control of the important places and drove the finale to a successful end. benq1, HenkkyG, MonttY, rdO and fredi therefore surprised a number of Counter-Strike fans.

The victorious eSuba.INTEL team
But the thing which attracted the most fans was of course the League of Legends tournament. Here was our line-up full of veterans a clear favourite. First it quickly dealt with the selection from Inside Games 2:0 and advanced to the finals. There it quite surprisingly met the nEophyte team which with its heroic performance on Sunday morning managed to change the semi-final match against Fraternitas. eSuba.INTEL did very well against this opponent and won again 2:0 and then celebrated the defending of their December victory. Fraternitas won the consolation prize in the battle for the third place in a quite „yolo“ way – they picked the heroes mainly on the base of their individual skill. The duel for the third place therefore looked more like a soloqueue.

Pipoušek, Miah, Rasen, Baxtrix and the captain Odstranovac with the cup for the winners
In Svitavy was a really great atmosphere. Fans did not hesitate to support their heroes either from Inside Games or eSuba. Another important part of Asus Finals 8 were of course cos-players. In conjunction with lovely hostesses and a great supporting program, they too contributed to the great fun at this tournament. And if we forgive the delays which simply belong to such events, we have no choice but to congratulate the boys from Hitpoint to a great event. So next year again!
