Interview with Lara: I could not resist it

 Hi Lara, you are coming back to eSuba after a long time, how does it feel? What do you expect from it?
Hi, it’s great; I didn’t expect it at all. I just went to play for fun with the girls and I am here again. Of course I expect a lot. I know that eSuba is mostly all about great people who support each other and can rely on each other. Personally, I am very proud that I can be part of it once again. And what do I expect from the team? That we will train hard and participate in girl online and perhaps later also offline tournaments. 

 Did you join any other team since you had left eSuba? What were you doing in this quite long time period?
I played for some time with Asus.ladies. Then I just had to concentrate on finishing university and later on my work so I quit playing CS altogether for some years. That’s life, you know.

 So you were on a break. Why did you decide to become an active player again?  
I wanted to add some more titles to my CS title collection so I bought CSGO on sale also. I just didn’t expect that as soon as I turn on the steam, old friends will invite me to lobby. And as you can see I could not resist it.

 What do you think about the girls in the team you joined? Have you met any of them before?
Honestly, I could not have asked for better team. I am thrilled. It is working out great both in the game, where I can rely on them for 100%, as well as in terms of communication. They are really cool and fun girls. I think we make a great team. I didn’t know them personally I just knew about them. I knew only one – aMi because we played together in one girl’s team before eSuba.

 So you expect online and offline tournaments but what is your dream achievement? Go to ESWC again? Or DreamHack?
Definitely. ESWC is an event you just can’t forget and I will be glad to go there again. Right now we want to try to take part in the qualification to Intel Challenge in Katowice with the top girl teams. We will be glad if you keep your fingers crossed for us.

 How has the girl gaming scene changed over the years?
To tell the truth I don’t know much about the current gaming scene. After all many things have changed over the years and still keep changing. But I expect to see some old familiar faces for example in Katowice.

 Do you have any special training for Katowice? How does your typical training look like – any changes compared to the previous years?
So far we are trying to get used to playing together, trying different tactics and practice the maps that will be played there. I can see a big difference- these girls have gaming experience already and they know what they can do. That is the reason why there is no confusion during the training like it happens in other teams, which are starting to play together.

 How would you compare the 1.6, Source and GO?
I can’t really evaluate CS Source because I played it just for about an hour. Concerning the comparison of 1.6 and GO – well it’s completely different. GO has a different physics than 1.6, so when you go straight from 1.6 to GO you have to get used to a completely new environment. I can’t help it, but 1.6 was more accurate. There is lot of unfinished work that could be improved. And also the maps are changing all the time and with it also grenade throwing, conquering and defending plants. On the other hand, Go is simply newer and has new enhancements and new weapons, so it’s a good successor of 1.6.
