Dota 2 deservedly won their first title together
Our Dota 2 section celebrated a big victory at LanCraft. It has recently changed the line-up and that eventually, as it turned out, played a crucial role. Eight top teams of the domestic scene took part in this tournament while no one could predict in advance the paper assumptions and according to our players – anyone could surprise. Especially in Full Double Elimination Bracket.
eSuba first beat the Ave Caesar team and then in the very next round lost to the Autism line-up. This pushed it to the Losers bracket, where it did not collapse because of the previous defeat but got a second wind. First, it destroyed the opponent form BlackKingBar, then Warning! and in the finale of LB returned the defeat to Autism. The grand-finale against Epidemic was purely directed by our players and they could deservedly celebrate their first title together.

The RNG god did not help the Hearthstone section, Faeli finished fourth
The Hearthstone tournament at LanCraft was a big question mark for eSuba because none of our players managed to get through the online qualification and so they all had to participate in the BYOC qualification. Only eight players were advancing from it and because there was several dozen competitors in Ostrava it was not easy at all – and it was confirmed right there.
Silhan, Pokrovac, Rikytan nor StadioN managed to get through the qualification. It was very close but unfortunately two lost games stopped them. The only one who managed to advance was Faeli. The recent winner of ASUS FINALS had an excellent form but the luck together with the RNG god abandoned him in the critical moments. First he lost in the semi-finals of WB to Mirasek and later in LB very closely also to Matty so he finished without a medal – in fourth place.

A thrill of hope was replaced by despair, eSuba was not successful against nEph and takes silver
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament was definitely the thing all the fans looked most forward to, because as it was expected a big fight between eSuba and nEophyte happened there. But before this happened, there was a group phase and a few matches in the play-off. Our players together with the guest KAPARZ went through these parts quite easily. The group was clear as well as the first matches of the FDE bracket.
It came to the crunch in the finals of WB bracket where we met nEophyte. The match was very attractive for spectators and at times it seemed that our representatives can actually win. But the opponents played very well and at the end they won. A few moments later, there was a rematch in the grand-finale but it turned into a nightmare. The nEophyte tram turned the last duel of the tournament in a small exhibition and rightfully celebrated the title. Our boys got the nice second place.

StarCraft II massacre did not happen, however nExt beautifully snatched bronze
StarCraft II had as always its representation at LanCraft too. We had in this tournament altogether nine irons in the fire but unfortunately only one was able to win a medal. The one is the youngest member of our team – nExt who did not manage to beat bluecheese in the finale of LB. The rest of the players of course did not play badly but they simply were not lucky and their opponents were better.
Anyway, all nine players, including PredY and Lopata who finished their active careers, managed to advance from their basic groups to the play-off. There they, however, gradually came across tough opponents and fell into the losers bracket where they later dropped out of the tournament. Therefore DeViL, Blackbirds and Wanty (who by the way pleasantly surprised with his performance) missed the medal positions as well as of course also other eSuba representatives such as Miken, Mattzour and Veriol.

The golden double did not happen, Fraternitas clearly dominated LanCraft
Saturday, the last day of the whole LanCraft could have been especially significant for the League of Legends section of eSuba. The boys could have won two titles in one month in gigantic domestic tournaments and get a “double”. Unfortunately, they did not manage to do it this time, although the form they had when they arrived looked quite formidable. eSuba players went through the basic group without any hesitation, they easily beat nEophyte and headed towards the play-off.
Also there everything went well, eEriness lost in the first round and with a little bit of hesitation also Inside Games in the semi-finals. After these victories, eSuba got to the finale where it had to face the biggest rival – Fraternitas. This time, however, their match didn’t work out the way they wanted. The opponents were in all aspects one step ahead of them and gave our team almost no chance. The result 3:0 speaks for itself.
